Ysgol Golwg Pen Y Fan School Admissions

Parents who are considering sending their children to Ysgol Golwg Pen Y Fan are most welcome to contact the school and arrange a meeting with the head teacher.

In Powys there is a one school intake in each school year. This intake will be in September, the beginning of the Autumn Term, after a child has had their fourth birthday.

Please note that if you are moving into the area then you are welcome to start at anytime of the year – please contact the school office for a transfer form or download the form from the Powys County Council website. This form will need to be returned to the address on the form and not the school. However, we would welcome you to come and look around the school.

Applying for a School Place

For pupils starting school in September 2027 Parental Preference for Primary School Application forms will be available from October 2026. Forms will be available from www.powys.gov.uk as well as the council’s Admission and Transport Team, primary schools and pre-school settings. Please click here to apply online.
